Our Community

Supporting our Lacey-Olympia-Tumwater community is important to PIONEER. We are a local, small business and many of our team members grew up here and/or are raising families here. We feel privileged to work in this community that has so much to offer.

PIONEER proudly supports a variety of organizations within our community. We have also supported numerous schools in our area by purchasing advertising, sponsorships, donations, and volunteering our time and services.

PIONEER proudly supports the following organizations:

  • Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family
  • Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia (SOGO)
  • Local schools
  • Local student sports teams
Sponsorships
  • Elementary Schools

PIONEER has sponsored the annual Science Fair held at two local schools, Michael T. Simmons Elementary and Pioneer Elementary, since 2005. PIONEER team members encourage young scientists by working with them on their science projects and judging the projects during the evening of the Science Fair.

  • Black Hills High School

PIONEER has sponsored Black Hills High School, located in Tumwater, Washington, since 2010. Current sponsorships include corporate booster club memberships for the high school football team and the boys' basketball team. We also have two Black Hills High School students interning at PIONEER. Go Wolves!

  • Union High School

PIONEER is a proud supporter of Union High School in Vancouver, Washington.  PIONEER has sponsored the Giving Fund, the high school band, and the boys' basketball team. The students are given opportunities to learn and grow through these programs and events.   Go Titans!

  • North Thurston High School

PIONEER sponsored North Thurston High School in 2011 through donations made to the athletic programs. PIONEER is dedicated to supporting local high school sports and encouraging student involvement in extracurricular activities.

  • Olympia High School

PIONEER has been a proud sponsor of Olympia High School since 2011.  PIONEER has donated to the choir, drama, and athletic programs. Donations to the choir program helped raise funds for new choir gowns. Go Bears!

  • Oshogatsu in Olympia

PIONEER was a proud sponsor of Oshogatsu in Olympia festival in celebration of the Japanese New Year.  The festival was hosted by the Olympia-Kato Sister City Association and was a great success.

  • the Salvation Army

Participating in the Salvation Army's Adopt-a-Family program is a holiday tradition at PIONEER. We have proudly participated in this program since 2005. PIONEER sponsors a large family, and the PIONEER team members get to play Santa by purchasing toys, clothes, groceries, and other requested items.

  • SOGO

PIONEER has been a proud sponsor of the Students Orchestras of Greater Olympia (SOGO) program since 2010. SOGO is a fully-integrated music program with over 150 young musicians from over 20 different schools in the South Sound area. This fantastic program highlights talented young musicians in our community.

  • Local Youth Sports

PIONEER has proudly supported local youth sports programs over the years. For example, we recently supported a 12U girls softball team by sponsoring them in an area tournament. One of our principals, Chris Waldron, has also donated his time by coaching youth soccer and basketball teams.
