Overview

The AWC LCI Survey (American Wood Council Lifecycle Impact Survey) is a web-based software application that captures environmental performance metrics of wood products throughout the product’s lifecycle, including material inputs, energy inputs, transportation, packaging, and waste. The collected data is used to transparently demonstrate the positive environmental impact of the North American wood industry.

Our Solution

We developed the website from the ground up using Microsoft .NET Blazor and Microsoft SQL Server. Our primary focus areas during development were data security, usability, and user experience. The platform we have created allows for future survey versions to capture changing requirements and extensible querying of collected data.

Results

We launched the application in the first quarter of 2023, and the initial customer response has been very positive. Customers have praised the ease of use and responsiveness of the application.
