Joel Hecker is a licensed professional geologist in Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Washington with over eight years of project experience working on Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Facility Investigations (RFI’s), environmental site assessments, groundwater modeling, and plume delineations. Joel helps find practical solutions for redevelopment opportunities at brownfield sites by collecting data and completing risk-based evaluations to determine whether corrective action is needed. He also writes and managements brownfield grants for local communities. He is currently managing the City of Olympia’s USEPA Brownfield Assessment Grant. Joel has strong analytical, project management, and problem solving skills, which contribute to detail-oriented and well-thought-out decisions on projects. Joel is extremely determined in his efforts to make sure all aspects of projects are clearly identified, and solutions are properly implemented.
